My Color~Full Florida is an entertaining and educational way to learn about the interesting people, places and things in Florida's amazing history. The stories are conversational and interactive for readers of all ages, and each story is complemented with a black and white illustration. Younger readers will enjoy adding their own touch by coloring these pictures too. A perfect book about Florida to be read with, and by children. Also an ideal way for new residents to learn about their state, and for long time residents to reflect on its history and why they love calling it home.
Linda Schilling Mitchell is the daughter of Victoria Schneider of "Dear Miss Schneider, Please Excuse Walter..." - a reflective look at family life in northern Kentucky during the Great Depression.
Born in the northern Kentucky town of Covington, she has spent 99% of her life in Florida. She enjoys warm weather, the sights and sounds of the ocean and anything and everything to do with her family. Especially her role as "G-mo" to granddaughters Lydia and Abby and grandson Jeffrey.
Her love of Florida and its history prompted her to write "My Color~Full Florida" and entertaining and interactive way to learn about Florida - for all ages.
She has now retired to the northeast Florida town of Middleburg with her husband Jim.
